Vacuum Cup Grippers

Sawyer incorporates force sensors on all axes and uses safety technology. The intensity sensor can respond to slight changes in external force to achieve anti-collision safety protection. In the event of an accidental contact, sawyer immediately reduces its speed, reducing its kinetic energy to the point where loss can be avoided. With intrinsically safe design, humans and robots can work together without the need for extensive safety precautions.

Each joint incorporates a high-resolution force sensor that supports its compliance control, allowing Sawyer to find the position with "(feel)" even though the (picked-up) part or position is variable. This unique ability to operate repetitively is unique not only in the robotics industry, but also enables Sawyer to operate efficiently in semi-structured environments with error requirements within 0.1 mm.
