The spool of a needle valve is a pointed cone that is inserted into the seat like a needle, hence the name. Needle valves can withstａnd higher pressure than other types of valves, sealing performance is good, so generally used for smaller flow, higher pressure gas or liquid medium sealing. Needle valves and pressure gauges are more appropriate for use, the general needle valves are threaded connections (of course, flange and other forms of connection).
