Die quenching, especially for auto molds, requires high hardness, small deformation, and hardened layer depth. Flame quenching has a large amount of deformation, and laser quenching and hardened layer depth is very shallow, which cannot meet the requirements of auto mold quenching. The use of medium frequency induction hardening to heat treat the outer plate, inner plate and inserts of auto molds can not only meet the hardness and layer depth requirements of mold quenching, but also greatly reduce the deformation of the mold, which is the best heat treatment process selection.
