The travel switch is used to limit the position or travel of the mechanical movement, so that the moving machinery automatically stops, reverses or automaticallymoves back and forth according to a certain position or travel.

There are many kinds of travel switches. The commonly used travel switches are button type, single wheel rotary type and double wheel rotary type. The button typeａnd single wheel rotary type travel switches are automatic reset, similar to the button, so they become self reset travel switches. The two wheel rotary travel switch is called non self reset travel switch because the contactis reset after collision with the direction.

The travel switch is used to limit the position or travel of the mechanical movement, so that the moving machinery automatically stops, reverses or automaticallymoves back and forth according to a certain position or travel.

There are many kinds of travel switches, but the basic structure is the same, which mainly consists of three parts: contact part, operation part and reaction system.According to the different motion characteristics of the operation part, the travel switch can be divided into direct action type, roller type, micro motion type, automatic reset type and non automatic reset type.

In the selection, mainly according to the application and control object. When the speed of mechanical movement is slow and the current in the controlled circuitis large, considering the difficulty of arc breaking, the travel switch with fast action can be used. When there are many loops of the controlled object, and it is not suitable to install the direct acting travel switch onthe path of the production machinery travel, the direct acting travel switch can be used

Select master controller type (i.e. camshaft rotation type) travel switch. If the working frequency is very high, it is not suitable to install the friction blockon the production machinery, and the reliability and accuracy are also high, the appropriate transistor proximity switch can be considered.
