At this point, the shortest time, even the millisecond or even the microsecond time is very important. You know, accidents happen in a very short period of time. You can think that in such a short period of time, you may not have stopped the machine or turned off the switch by using the normally open contact, causing major machine damage or personal injury. But using normally closed contacts makes it possible to stop the machine or shock the person for a shorter time and avoid all this.

(2) From the button mechanism, we know that the emergency stop button, whether normally closed or normally open contact, will spring up again in the case of not pressing in place (pressing to the end), so as to make the action ineffective. When the normally open contact is used, the emergency stop does not play any role when the emergency stop button is not pressed in place (because the normally open contact is not closed); The use of normally closed contacts is different, whether the emergency stop button is pressed in place, only through the contact action, the emergency stop will play a role.

(3) From the control line, it is needless to say that the most basic function of the emergency stop button is to stop in an emergency and avoid mechanical accidents or personal accidents. However, due to the long operation of the machine, the line, especially the emergency stop line, may cause fault open. At this time, if the emergency stop button is used to open the contact, the emergency stop part of the line fault will not be found, if the emergency stop button is used to find it is too late. When the normally closed contact is used, when the emergency stop part of the line is faulty, it will cause the machine to stop at most, and the loss will be relatively small. It is based on the above reasons, in the design of electrical control system, the emergency stop button had better use normally closed contact.
