I. Overview


The reliable and effective connection between the grounding down conductor of the power equipment and the ground network is the fundamental guarantee for the safe operation of the equipment. The grounding down conductor is the connection part of the power equipment and the grounding grid. During the long-term operation of the power equipment, the connection may be affected by moisture and other factors, and the connection point may be rusted or even broken. The resistance of the connection point of the grounding grid is increased, which cannot meet the requirements of the electric power regulations, so that there are hidden dangers in the operation of the equipment, and in serious cases, the equipment will lose ground.

The Ground Continuity Resistance Tester is a highly automated portable tester developed by our company. It is used to measure the on-resistance between the ground down conductors of various power equipment in the substation. The instrument is controlled by a high-performance single-chip microcomputer, which can realize the intelligent test process. It has the advantages of small size, convenient carrying, simple operation, high precision, fast test speed, good retestability, and intuitive reading. It is an ideal special instrument that meets the requirements of regulations.

IV. Precautions


1. When connecting the test clip to the contact end of the grounding wire, pay attention to the contact end being exposed to the air for a long time, and the surface is covered with an oxide film. The oxide film may cause unstable or inaccurate measurement results, so pay attention to cleaning up when wiring. After the oxide film or the test clip is connected to the terminal, twist the test clip a few times to break the oxide film to ensure a good connection.

2. Before disconnecting the wires, be sure to wait for the instrument to reset. After there is no current output, turn off the power and then remove the wires.

3. When selecting the current, please refer to the range in the technical index column, and do not use it over or under range. When using over-range, because the current does not reach the preset value, the stability of the test result is too poor even if the test is continued forcibly. When the range is under-range, the current is too small, which is unstable for the test data. When these two states appear, confirm the range and select the appropriate range for testing.
