II. Working principle
HM6050C series cable break detector uses the principle of electromagnetic induction to detect the precise direction and depth of underground cables and locate the open circuit, short circuit and fault points of the cable. It has become the easiest cable break detector to use today. The transmitter's built-in ohmmeter can automatically measure the loop resistance and continuous automatic output impedance matching to ensure the best matching signal. For the cable fault test, this instrument can apply the step voltage method and use the direct-buried cable fault test accessory ("A" frame) to determine the cable-to-ground fault and the cable sheath where the insulation resistance of the direct-buried cable is less than 2M ohms. Fault location; signal strength method can also be used to judge cable open circuit and short circuit faults. Using the coupling clamp, you can find the path of the live cable, use the 50Hz detection function of the receiver, and track the 50Hz power frequency signal sent by the running cable. The basic working principle is: electromagnetic signals are generated by the transmitter, and the signals are transmitted to the underground cable under test through different transmission connection methods. After the electromagnetic signal is induced by the underground cable, an induced current is generated on the cable, and the induced current follows the direction of the cable. In the process of current propagation, electromagnetic waves are radiated to the ground through the underground cable. In this way, when the cable break detector is detected on the ground, the electromagnetic wave signal will be received on the ground above the cable. The signal strength changes to distinguish the location, direction and fault of the underground cable.
