I. Product introduction


HM3200 insulator salt density tester is used for power system anti-pollution flashover detection. It is a special measuring instrument for measuring the equivalent salt density on the surface of insulators (hereinafter referred to as "salt density"). It can also measure the conductivity and temperature of the solution. The whole machine is widely used in electric power, teaching, scientific research and other related industries due to its high measurement accuracy, large measurement range, and convenient use.

The classification of pollution grades and the drawing of pollution grade distribution maps are the basis of anti-pollution flashover work. An accurate pollution grade distribution map is the basis for selecting the creepage distance of the electric porcelain external insulation of power transmission and substation equipment. The equivalent salt density value on the surface of the insulator is the quantitative data to judge the seriousness of the pollution of the external insulation of the electric porcelain, and it is one of the important basis for dividing the pollution level and drawing the pollution area map. Therefore, the salt density measurement is of great significance to the safe operation of the power system.

IV.Related terms

1. Reference cap and pin insulator

XP-70, XP-160, LXP-70 and LXP-160 ordinary disc type suspension insulators (according to GB/T 7253), usually 7-9 pieces in a string are used to measure the pollution degree of the site.

2. Creepage distance

The shortest distance along the surface of the insulator between two conductive parts.

Note: The surface of cement or other non-insulating glued materials is not considered as a component of the creepage distance. If some part of the insulating part of the insulator is covered with a high-resistance layer, this part shall be considered as an effective insulating surface and the distance along it shall be included in the creepage distance.

3. Unified specific creepage distance (USCD)

The ratio of the creepage distance of an insulator to the highest operating voltage (for AC systems, the highest phase voltage) borne by both ends, mm/kV.

4. Salt deposit density (SDD)

The total amount of sodium chloride manually applied to the surface of a given insulator (excluding metal parts and assembly materials) divided by the surface area, mg/cm².

5. Equivalent salt deposit density (ESDD)

The equivalent amount of salt on the insulating surface of an insulator unit, mg/cm².

6. Non soluble deposit density (NSDD)

The total amount of insoluble residues cleaned on the insulating surface of an insulator unit divided by the surface area, mg/cm².

7. Site equivalent salinity (SES)

The salinity during the salt spray test according to GB/T 4585. Using this salinity test, under the same insulator and the same voltage, the peak leakage current generated is basically the same as the leakage current under the natural pollution conditions on site.

8. Site pollution severity (SPS)

The maximum value of the pollution severity ESDD/NSDD or SES measured in an appropriate period of time.

9. Site pollution severity class

The severity of the pollution from very light to very severe is classified according to SPS.

10. Energy coefficient K1 energy coefficient K1

The ratio of the measured ESDD/NSDD (SES) value of the insulator of the same form with the charged ESDD/NSDD (SES) value and the non-charged measured ESDD/NSDD (SES) value, K1 is generally 1.1~1.5.
