If you don't understand what an NTC thermistor is --

Negative Temperature Coeff1Cient (NTC) refers to a thermistor phenomenon or material that has a negative temperature coefficient and the resistance decreases exponentially with the increase of temperature. The material is a semiconductor ceramic made of two or more metal oxides such as manganese, copper, silicon, cobalt, iron, nickel, zinc and so on, which is fully mixed, formed and sintered. It can be made into a thermistor with negative temperature coefficient (NTC). Its resistivity and material constant vary with the proportion of material composition, sintering atmosphere, sintering temperature and structure state. Non-oxide NTC thermistor materials such as silicon carbide, tin selenide and tantalum nitride have also appeared.

The development of NTC thermistors has come a long way. The negative temperature coefficient of silver sulfide was first discovered in 1834. In 1930, scientists discovered that cuprous oxide (CUPRous oxide) also had a negative temperature coefficient, and it was successfully used in the temperature compensation circuit of aerospace instruments. Subsequently, due to the continuous development of transistor technology, thermistor research has made significant progress. In 1960, NTC thermistor was developed and widely used in temperature measurement, temperature control, temperature compensation and other aspects.

Its measuring range is generally -10 ~ +300℃, can also do -200 ~ +10℃.

The accuracy of thermistor thermometer can reach 0.1℃, and the temperature sensing time can be less than 10s. It is not only suitable for granary thermometer, but also can be used in food storage, medicine and health, scientific farming, ocean, deep well, high altitude, glacier and other aspects of temperature measurement.
