The four-quadrant reactor is used for the input end of the four quadrant Variable-frequency Drive (VFD) and is connected in series with the incoming line end of VDF. When the backend of electric machinery operates normally, the four quadrant reactor acts as an input reactor. When the motor braking makes feedback energy to the power grid, the four quadrant reactor acts as an output reactor to carry out harmonic control and reactive power compensation for the feedback energy.
