BASIC STRUCTURE OF VACUUM INTERRUPTER
The vacuum interrupter is mainly composed of air tight insulation system, conductive system, shielding system and contact system.
1.Insulated shell
According to the different materials of the insulating shell, there are three kinds of glass, ceramics and glass ceramics. The glass-ceramic is expensive, so it has not been used in practice; the glass structure strength is poor, the amount of use has been gradually reduced; the comprehensive properties of ceramics are the best.The insulation shell mainly plays the role of insulation support and participates in the formation of air tight insulation system.
2.Bellows
The bellows are mainly made of stainless steel with a thickness of 0.1-0.2mm. It is mainly used to move the electrodes in a certain range and seal them in high vacuum.
3.Shielding valve
The shield cover around the contact is mainly used to absorb the metal vapor evaporated on the contact during arcing, so as to prevent the insulation strength reduction and insulation damage caused by the metal vapor pollution of the insulation shell. At the same time, it is also conducive to the rapid recovery of the dielectric strength of the gap after arc quenching. A shield cover is used outside the bellows to prevent the bellows from being burned by metal vapor.
4.Contact
The contact is the place where the arc is produced and extinguished. It has high requirements on the material and structure.The contact materials of vacuum interrupter for vacuum circuit breaker are mostly copper chromium alloy, with copper and chromium accounting for 50% respectively. A copper chromium alloy sheet is welded on the butt surfaces of the upper and lower contacts, with a thickness of 3mm in general. The rest is called contact base, which can be made of oxygen free copper.
5.Conductive system
The conductive system of arc extinguishing chamber is composed of fixed electrode and moving electrode. The fixed electrode includes a fixed conducting pole, a fixed arc surface and a fixed contact. Moving contact, moving arc surface and moving conducting pole are called moving electrode.
