For epoxy poles, Main technical data are as following: rated voltage ranging from 12KV to 40.5KV; rated current ranging from 630A to 4000A; rated short time breaking current ranging from 16KA to 50KA.

From the development of insulation on breakers, it can be divided into three generations; air, composite and solid insulation and so- called solid insulation means epoxy embedded poles, which might respresent the great advancement of insulation on vacuum breakers. Since the epoxy can be used to replace the insulating and mechanical supports, the breakers therefore become compact and simple and are able to service under humid and dusty conditions.
