How to put out a cable fire:

(1) Cut off the power supply of the ignition cable. The cable caught fire and burned. Regardless of the cause, the power supply should be cut off immediately. Then, according to the path and characteristics of the cable, carefully check to find the fault point of the cable. At the same time, personnel should be quickly organized to put out the fire.

The cable manufacturer recommends how to put out a cable fire:

　　 (1) Cut off the power supply of the ignition cable. The cable caught fire and burned. Regardless of the cause, the power supply should be cut off immediately. Then, according to the path and characteristics of the cable, carefully check to find the fault point of the cable. At the same time, personnel should be quickly organized to put out the fire.

　　 (2) If there is a fire in the cable trench, please cut off the power supply of the non-faulty cable. When the cables in the cable trough catch fire, if there is an obvious possibility of fire on the cables placed side by side with the cable trough, the power supply of these cables should be cut off. If the cables are placed in layers, first cut off the power supply of the heating cable above the live wire, then cut off the power supply of the cable side by side with the live wire, and finally cut off the power supply of the cable under the launch cable.

　　 (3) Close the fire door of the cable trench or block both ends of the cable trench. When the cable in the cable trench catches fire, in order to avoid air circulation and promote rapid fire fighting, the fire door of the cable trench should be closed or both ends should be blocked, and the fire should be extinguished.

　　 (4) Personal protective measures should be taken to extinguish cable fires. Since a large amount of smoke and toxic gases are generated when the cable is on fire, firefighters should wear gas masks when extinguishing a cable fire. In order to prevent personal electric shock during the rescue process, rescuers should also wear rubber gloves and insulating boots. If it is found that the high-voltage cable is grounded, rescuers should pay attention: indoors shall not enter within 4m from the fault point, and outdoors shall not enter within 8m from the fault point, so as to avoid the step voltage and contact voltage from harming people. Rescue of injured persons is not limited to this limitation, but protective measures should be taken.

　　 (5) Fire extinguishing equipment used to extinguish cable fires. When extinguishing fire, use dry powder fire extinguishers, "1211" fire extinguishers, carbon dioxide fire extinguishers and other fire extinguishers. You can also use dry sａnd or loess; if you use water to extinguish the fire, it is best to use a water spray gun; if the fire is violent, do not use other methods to extinguish the fire. After cutting off the power, you can pour water into the cable trench to seal the fault and extinguish the fire.

　　 (6) When extinguishing a cable fire, it is forbidden to directly touch the cable steel armor and move the cable by hand.
