Product Description

Are made out from aluminum-magnesium-silicon alloy of high electrical conductivity (min 53% IACS) containing magnesium (0.6-0.9%) & silicon (0.5-0.9%) to give it better mechanical properties after treatment. Conductor AAAC Akron are made out of aluminum alloy 6201. Conductor AAAC Akron has a better corrosion resistance and better strength to weight ratio and improved electrical conductivity than ACSR conductor on equal diameter basis.

AAAC bare conductor meets or exceeds the following IEC61089 specifications

Resistance is calculated using IEC standard increments of stranding and metal conductivity of 52.5% IACS, AC resistance at 60Hz
Current ratings are based on 75oC conductor temperature, 25oC ambient, 2ft/s wind, 96/watts/sq.ft sun, 0.5 coefficients of emissivity and absorption.
