Applications
Turkey ACSR ALUMINUM CONDUCTOR STEEL REINFORCED is mainly used in some high-voltage lines. This kind of wire cable often used as bare overhead transmission cable and as primary and secondary distribution cable.
Construction
ACSR cable steel core adopts a, B and C grade galvanizing“ Aluminum coating (AZ); Or aluminum cladding (AW) - please refer to our ACSR / AW specification for more information. Additional corrosion protection can be obtained by applying grease to the corer or injecting grease into the entire cable.
Resistance is calculated using ASTM standard increments of stranding and metal conductivity of 61.2% IACS for EC (1350) and 8% IACS for steel. AC (60Hz) resistance includes current dependent hysteresis loss factor for 1 and 3 layer constructions.
Specifications
ACSR conductors are manufactured in accordance with the ASTM specification B232
Other ASTM referenced specifications include B230, B498, B500, B606, B802, B803, B957 and B958
