Explosion-proof motors use brushless excitation, synchronous motors, AC exciters, and rotating rectifiers are coaxial. Its structure and material are still different from ordinary motors. So today I will give you a brief introduction to explosion-proof motors. What is the difference with ordinary motors, I hope it can be helpful to you.
1. The explosion-proof motor adopts brushless excitation, and is equipped with a rotating rectifier board and a static excitation cabinet, and the excitation control system is reliable;
Positive and negative polarity slip excitation is accurate, no impact; system excitation out-of-step protection is reliable, resynchronization ability is strong; circuit design is reasonable, the discharge resistance does not generate heat when working; excitation current adjustment range is wide;
2. Synchronous motor, AC exciter and rotating rectifier plate are coaxial. The rectifier plate is located between the main motor and the exciter, or outside the bearing seat;
3. To meet the requirements of increased-safety explosion-proof motors, take a series of reliable measures to prevent sparks, arcs and dangerous high temperatures;
4. The protection level of the explosion-proof motor shell is IP55;
5. The explosion-proof motor adopts class F insulation, and the temperature rise is assessed according to class B, but ordinary motors cannot meet this requirement;
6. The explosion-proof motor changes the traditional lower water cooling to upper water cooling, that is, the water cooler is placed on the upper part of the motor;

11. In addition to the excellent sealing structure with gaskets, the junction box of the explosion-proof motor also seals the inner leads of the motor windings to the terminals. In order to reduce sparks, only three ends are drawn (usually 6 with connectors) .
12. The external power inlet of the explosion-proof motor junction box is a movable connection of more than ten centimeters, and the two ends are sealed explosion-proof tubular threaded joints, which can be flexibly and reliably connected with the explosion-proof threaded steel pipe, so that the motor and the input power cord are both sealed and fireproof. The requirements;
13. For the cooling fan at the end of the explosion-proof motor, the outer edge of the fan blade is far away from the wind deflector, and the fan blade is made of plastic;
14. Due to the special structure and materials of explosion-proof motors, explosion-proof motors are much more expensive than ordinary motors.
