What is the cause of the motor fire?
1. The motor draws in fibers and dust to block the air duct. The heat cannot be discharged, or the rotor and the stator collide, causing the winding temperature to rise and catch fire.
2. Motor phase loss operation. When the motor is running, one phase disconnection or one phase fuse is blown, resulting in phase loss operation (ie, two-phase operation), causing the stator winding to overload and heat.
3. The motor bearing lubricant is lacking or the lubricating oil is dirty, which causes the bearing damage to jam the rotor, resulting in an increase in the stator current and causing the stator winding to overheat and ignite.
4. The terminal touch resistance is too high, the temperature is high, or the connector is loose, and the spark is fired.
Difference between Synchronous Motor and Induction Motor?
AC motors are divided into two types, synchronous motors and asynchronous motors which are also called induction motors. The biggest difference between synchronous motors and asynchronous motors (induction motors) is whether the speed of the rotor is consistent with the speed of the rotating magnetic field in the stator. If the rotor’s rotation speed and the stator’s field speed are the same, it is called synchronous motor; if not, it is the asynchronous motor. Furthermore, there are big differences specific to the performance parameters and applications between the two.
