MY series aluminum housing 1.5 hp single phase induction motor, with run capacitor, is made of selected quality materials and conform to the IEC standard. What should I do if the stator and rotor insulation of the generator is low after maintenance? Motor technicians have found that if the generator is slightly damp, the insulation value can be restored after a few hours of idling, and the insulation value should be greater than 50 megohms. When starting idling, pay attention to turn off the cooling water of the air cooler of the unit, and open a number of vents on the upper cover of the generator according to the situation. If the moisture is severe, you can use current drying or external heat source drying or send the generator set stator and rotor back to the factory. When drying in the kiln, the time must be appropriate and not too short. The stator and rotor that are too short and damp may not be completely dried. The cooling insulation value of the pending rotor will still be reduced. At the same time, the kiln temperature should be set appropriately, not too high or too temperature. High will damage the control system module of the generator. For large generator sets, when the rotor is still partially insulated, three-phase short-circuit drying is the simplest method.
