Knowledge points of induction motor
1. The torque equation of induction motor: Te=T2+To where T2 is the output torque of the motor, T2=P2∕Ω Te is the electromagnetic torque (in the motor, it is the driving torque), Te=PΩ∕Ω or Pe ∕Ωs
2. The number of poles and phases of the cage rotor
The number of poles of the stator and rotor must be the same; the number of phases is the number of leads under a pair of poles; the number of turns in series per phase is 1∕2; the pitch factor and the distribution factor are both.
3. Starting of cage induction motor: ①Direct start; ②Step-down starting; Step-down starting is divided into star-delta starting method and autotransformer starting method. When starting with star-delta connection, both the starting current and starting torque will be reduced to the original 1∕3; when the autotransformer method is started, the starting current and starting torque will both be reduced to the original 1∕Ka2
4. The winding type induction motor can be started by series resistance when it is started. This kind of starting can not only reduce the starting current but also increase the starting torque, which is an ideal situation.
