Several Misunderstandings in the New Standard of Motor Energy Efficiency
Recently, with the State Administration for Market Supervision and Administration, the National Standardization Administration issued a new standard for motor energy efficiency GB18613-2020 Motor Energy Efficiency Limits and Energy Efficiency Ratings and the implementation time is approaching. Many users have the following misunderstandings about the new standard
1. The new standard will be implemented from June 1, 2021, and the GB18613-2012 standard is still adopted.
2. Starting from June next year, the international standard IE2 and the corresponding YE2 motor will be banned from production, sales and use.
3. In the old GB18613-2012 standard, the YE3 level two energy efficiency motor corresponding to the international standard IE3 is reduced to level three in the new version of the standard, while the YE4 series motor corresponding to IE4 is reduced from level one to level two.
4. The international standard IE5 will become the first-level energy efficiency of the new national standard.
5. The energy efficiency label currently made will not be usable in accordance with the requirements of the new standard, and the record of the energy efficiency label needs to be re-filed.
6. The new standard combines the energy efficiency of low-power motors and increases the energy efficiency rating of 8-pole motors
