How uneven voltage influence motor
The existence of unbalanced voltage causes unbalanced currents in the stator windings, so the temperature rise increases and the output power of the motor decreases, which can be expressed by reducing the correction coefficient.
The current of a motor with unbalanced power supply voltage at normal operating speed will be greatly unbalanced, and its unbalance is about 6-10 times the unbalanced voltage. That is to say, if the unbalanced voltage reaches 5%, the unbalanced current can reach dozens of times.
When the grid voltage fluctuates more than ±5% (the value allowed by the national standard), as the grid voltage increases, the magnetic density of each part of the motor increases proportionally, the no-load current increases, the iron loss increases, and the efficiency decreases; caused by electromagnetic Increased noise and vibration; increased locked-rotor torque, maximum torque and locked-rotor current.
When the voltage is lower than -5%, it is caused by the decrease of the grid voltage; the locked-rotor torque and the voltage are reduced by the square, which can cause the start time to be prolonged, and may even fail to start under heavy load; while maintaining the rated power output, The current of the motor should be increased, the copper loss of the winding of the motor will increase, the heat will increase, and the efficiency will decrease.
Therefore, the national standard GB755 stipulates: "When the power supply voltage of the motor changes between 95%~105% of the rated value, the output power can still maintain the rated value." "But when the voltage changes above, the performance of the generator and motor is allowed to be The standard regulations are different...", for example, the temperature rise value is allowed to exceed the specified value, but the maximum allowable value is specified as: 10K for motors of 1000kW and below, 5K for motors above 1000kW.
