Common winding short-circuit faults include inter-turn short-circuit (ie, short-circuit between coils in one phase winding or between adjacent coils); short-circuit of the pole-phase group (ie short-circuit of two lead wires of one pole-phase winding); short-circuit between phases (ie, different Short circuit between phase windings).
The main reasons for winding short circuit are:
(1) The motor runs under overload for a long time, and the current in the winding is too large for a long time, which will make the insulation aging and brittle, lose its insulation, or crack and fall off due to vibration.
(2) The winding insulation is damp, and it is directly connected to the power supply without drying. The power supply voltage causes insulation breakdown.
(3) The insulation of the connecting wire or lead wire between the coil groups of the stator winding is poor or damaged by breakdown, or one or several coils are short-circuited due to careless wiring.
(4) Due to the careless operation of wire embedding, when the insulation of the outer layer of the magnet wire is scratched or the lead wire is welded, the temperature is high and it touches the end cover and forms a short circuit.
(5) Due to the careless assembly operation, the outer insulating layer of the magnet wire is broken and a short circuit is formed.
(6) The phase-to-phase insulation of the winding end or the slot of the double-layer winding is not well-padd, or is broken down.
(7) The end of the winding is too long and touches the end cover to form a short circuit.
(8) There are spring pads and balance pads in the motor, which constitute a short circuit between turns.
