Causes of mechanical noise produced by three-phase asynchronous motors

The noise emitted by a three-phase asynchronous motor when it is energized and running is composed of two categories, one of which is mechanical noise. Mechanical noise is mainly caused by bearing operation and fan ventilation.


During operation, especially when the power is cut off and idling, the parts and types of noise can be used to initially determine the parts and causes of the larger noise:

①The ②~⑥ of the reasons for the larger no-load loss are basically applicable to this item, which is the main reason for the large bearing noise.

② Among the reasons for the large no-load loss is the reason for the large ventilation noise. In addition, the fan blade angle or size of the axial fan is not correct, the design of the air path (including the exterior and the interior of the three-phase motor) is unreasonable, or there are obstacles in the air path, etc., will increase the ventilation noise (at this time, a similar whistle is often emitted Noise). Block the air inlet hole of the wind hood with cardboard, that is, cut off the air inlet. If the noise is significantly reduced, it can be determined that this is the cause.

③Some parts are not installed in place or loose.

④The stator and rotor or some relative moving parts (eg: bearing seal ring, oil baffle, water sling ring, etc.) may cause mutual friction due to improper installation, excessive looseness, or tightness.
