Introduction

Centrifugal pump is a vane pump, relying on the rotating impeller in the process of rotation, due to the interaction between the blade and the liquid, the blade will pass the mechanical energy to the liquid, so that the pressure of the liquid can increase, to achieve the purpose of conveying liquid. The start of the centrifugal pump should pay attention to four points:

1, centrifugal pump at a certain speed generated by the head has a limited value. The operating point flow rate and shaft power depend on the condition of the device system connected to the pump (position difference, pressure difference and line loss). The head varies with the flow.

2, the work is stable, continuous transmission, flow and pressure without pulsation.

3, general no self-priming ability, the need to pump first filled with liquid or the pipeline into a vacuum before starting to work.

4, centrifugal pump in the discharge pipeline valve closed state to start, vortex pump and axial flow pump in the valve fully open state to reduce the start power.

Because the centrifugal pump is to rely on the impeller centrifugal force to form a vacuum suction to lift the water, so, centrifugal pump start, must first close the gate valve, irrigation. Water level exceeds the impeller part above, discharge the air in the centrifugal pump, can start. After starting, a vacuum is formed around the impeller, the water is sucked up, and the gate valve can be opened automatically to lift the water. Therefore, the gate valve must be closed first.
