The Aluminum Windscreen Wiper Mount Head is a small part which is used as Mount head of windscreen wiper system on bus, boat and car etc. The technology for this part is high pressure Aluminum Die Casting, the mold design is very important, according to our ISO/TS:16949 Certificate, prior to the mold fabrication, the design such as the location of the injection gate, runner, venting system, cooling system should be approved by the customer production engineering. The part is small, but have a big pocket feature, the part is easier to stick to the mold, then if ignored, the material on the mold will lead to more serious sticking and incomplete filling, in this case, the engineer produced the work instruction with this point as key characteristic, adequate spray of mold release agent, specified cooling point at this deep cavity structure etc.
The part has requirement on assembly of M6*1 set screw, and the set screw has nylon patch on thread, which is very good for locking of the set screw on the aluminum mounting head housing. With such nylon material thread locker, the set screw can be turned off and re-assembled for a couple of times.
The part has finish specification on the powder coating treatment, the required powder is CARDINAL BK-08, the thickness is to be 0.05 mm to reach the enough corrosion stability, for powder coating, which has a process of curing in oven under about temperature of 200 degree, in this situation, and the die casting parts, usually will have voids inside the material more or less, so to control the density is very important, otherwise, if big internal porosity in the part, they will expand to get out, leading to bubble on the part surface, such defect is unacceptable.
The material of this part is ADC-12, a very common material in high pressure die casting. This material has good property of fluidity, and good property of processability.
