The role of the motor iron core The iron core of the motor is not only a key component of electromagnetic energy conversion, but the iron core in the motor also bears the combined effects of mechanical vibration, electromagnetic force and heat. In order to reduce the eddy current loss in the iron core, a certain insulation resistance value is required between the iron core punches.
Repair of common faults of iron core
The individual teeth of the iron core tooth pressure plate are splayed outward in the axial direction. This is due to the fact that the teeth of the tooth pressing plate are not leveled during the stacking of the iron core. After the iron core is pressed, the punching sheet appears wavy, the iron core teeth are warped or the stator iron core is hit when the rotor is pulled The individual teeth of the tooth pressure plate are pried up, and when repairing, only the individual teeth that open outwards can be knocked flat with a copper rod.
The iron core is burnt out locally. The arc generated when a phase-to-phase short-circuit or grounding short-circuit occurs in the windings sometimes burns the iron core locally. If the burned area is not large, you can repair it without disassembling the iron core. First use a file, chisel, grinding wheel and other tools to shovel or smooth the burned area of the iron core, and then use a knife to remove the silicon steel sheets one by one. Coat the surface of the iron core with a layer of self-drying insulating paint, and then press the iron core tightly. If the burned area is large, you should replace the iron core or replace the damaged punch.
The core is loosened radially. The radial loosening of the iron core has the following two situations:
①Small motors using external press-fit iron core technology are caused by too loose fit between the outer circle of the iron core and the inner hole of the frame, or the positioning screw between the iron core and the frame is loose. The repair method is to fasten the positioning screws. If necessary, additional positioning screws can be added to the machine base, or the iron core and the machine base can be welded together;
②The large and medium-sized motors adopting the process of inner pressing iron core are caused by the open welding or loosening of the radial positioning device of the iron core or the welding of the iron core and the machine base. The repair method is to fasten the positioning device and install anti-loosening screws or repair welding at the de-welding place.
