Common failures of vertical motors
1. Thrust pad burnout Thrust pad is a key component of a large vertical motor. According to statistics, the thrust pad burning failure accounts for about 40% of the equipment failures of the water pump unit. The fundamental reason is that the oil film layer between the thrust pad and the mirror plate is destroyed, the frictional heat increases rapidly, and the temperature of the tile surface exceeds the melting point of the tile surface babbitt alloy, resulting in burning.
