Maintenance of motor brushes and maintenance of motor dust removal
(1) The brushes used by the entire motor must be of the same batch, otherwise the brushes of the entire motor should be replaced.
(2) Check the brush holding pressure frequently to ensure that the brush pressure is roughly equal and the pressure is suitable for the standard.
(3) For those brushes in the 0 position/dead corner, loosen the screws that fasten the brush holder, rotate the brush holder to align the brushes with the window, and then exchange them. The important thing is that after the replacement, the brush holder must be reset according to the positioning mark.
(4) When replacing ShuangPin brushes, pay attention to the order of the front and back. Any change of the two positions will affect the normal operation of the brushes, or even worsen the commutation of the brushes in severe cases.
(5) The contact surface between the brush and the commutator must be in good agreement (ensure that the contact surface of the brush is not less than 80% of the theoretical contact surface, and the brush can move freely in the brush holder). For this reason, replace the brush with a new one. Should be ground. After grinding, remove all brush powder and debris, and use a clean and dry vacuum cleaner to vacuum.
(6) Motors with brushes exchanged should first run for 2-4 hours under light load conditions to achieve better contact.
(7) The distance between the bottom edge of each brush holder and the surface of the commutator is about 3mm. If the commutator is worn or turned, the brush holder should be moved in time to keep it in a good position.
(8) The brush rod is firmly fixed on the brush holder by screws. The relative position of the brush rod to the center should be strictly verified; unless there is an accident such as a ground breakdown, it is generally not to be detached. Disassemble as a whole.
(2) Undervoltage protection
When the grid voltage drops, the motor runs under undervoltage. Since the motor load has not changed, the motor torque decreases under undervoltage, and the stator winding current increases, which affects the normal operation of the motor or even damages the motor. At this time, the power supply is cut off with a protective device, which is undervoltage protection. Electrical appliances that realize undervoltage protection include contactors and electromagnetic voltage relays. The fuse and thermal relay cannot be undervoltage protection, because the motor is running under undervoltage. The increase of the stator winding is not enough to make the fuse and thermal relay operate, so these two kinds of electrical appliances cannot be protected against undervoltage.
