MC series aluminum housing capacitor start single phase 0.5 hp motor is made of selected quality materials and conform to the IEC standard. MC motor has good performance, safety and reliable operation, nice appearance, and can be maintained very conveniently, while with low noises ,little vibration and at the same time of light weight and simple construction. High starting torque, perfect starting performance, generally the multiple of the starting torque can be up to 3.0 times. This motor is used in the occasions where big starting torque and small starting current such as air-compressors, pumps, refrigerators, medical apparatus and others with full-load start.

FAQ
How to protect aluminum housing motor?
Overload protection
If the motor is overloaded for a long time, and the temperature rise of its winding exceeds the allowable value, the insulation material of the winding will become brittle, the life of the motor will be reduced, and the motor may even be damaged in severe cases. The greater the overload current, the shorter the time to reach the allowable temperature rise. The commonly used overload protection component is a thermal relay. The thermal relay can meet this requirement: when the motor is running under the rated current, the temperature rise of the motor is the rated temperature rise, and the thermal relay will not act. When the overload current is small, the thermal relay will take a long time to act, and overload When the current is large, the thermal relay will act in a short time.
Due to thermal inertia, the thermal relay will not act instantaneously due to the short-term overload impulse current or short-circuit current of the motor. Therefore, when the thermal relay is used for overload protection, it must also be equipped with short-circuit protection. The rated current of the melt of the fuse used for short-circuit protection should not exceed 4 times the rated current of the heating element of the thermal relay.
