When choosing a capacitor, the editor of Liyuan Motor reminds everyone to pay attention to the following points: Capacitor withstand voltage value ≥ 1.5 times the power supply voltage, generally choose 400V or 450V; The capacitance is calculated according to the following formula: Operating capacitance: C=1200*I*cos∅/U Starting capacitance: C=(2-4)*operating capacitance For a single-phase motor, the power of 1kw is about 6A; in addition, the power factor of a single-phase motor is relatively high, just take 0.95. For example: Suppose there is a 1.5KW single-phase dual-value capacitor motor, calculate how much starting and running capacitors are needed? Operating capacitance: C=1200*1.5*6*0.95/220=45 (uF) Starting capacitance: C=46*3=138 (uF) Therefore, the starting capacitor of the motor is 138uF, and the running capacitor is 46uF.
