FAQ
What is a DC motor?
A DC motor is a motor that converts direct current into mechanical energy. Because of its good speed regulation performance, it is widely used for dynamic resistance. According to the excitation mode, DC motors are divided into three types: permanent magnet, other excitation and self-excitation. There are three types of self-excitation: parallel excitation, series excitation and re-excitation.
When the DC power supply supplies power to the armature winding through the brush, the N-pole lower conductor on the surface of the armature can make the current flow in the same direction. According to the left-hand rule, the conductor will be subjected to a counterclockwise moment. The armature surface S is the lower part. The conductor also flows current in the same direction, and the conductor will also withstand a counterclockwise moment according to the left-hand rule. Therefore, the entire armature winding, the rotor, will rotate counterclockwise, and the input direct current is converted into mechanical energy output on the rotor shaft. It consists of a stator and a rotor. Stator: base, main magnetic pole, commutating pole, brush device, etc.; Rotor (armature): armature core, armature winding, commutator, shaft and fan.
