FAQ
What is the reason why bearing is overheated?
● Vibration during motor operation is inevitable, and the grease in the bearing may be lost due to it, causing the bearing to generate heat during dry grinding until it is overheated and burned.
● The influence of shaft current. Because the stator magnetic field of large motors is sometimes unbalanced, induced electromotive force is generated on the shaft. The magnetic field imbalance may be caused by local corrosion of the iron core, increased resistance, and uneven air gap between the stator and the rotor, resulting in shaft current and eddy current heating.
In order to prevent eddy currents in the motor bearings, an insulating plate should be added under the bearing seat at one end of the motor. At the same time, an insulating plate should be added to the bottom bolts, pins, oil pipes and flanges of the bearing seat to cut off the eddy current path. The best way to solve this problem is to adopt an insulated bearing system structure, and a separate section will be established for exchanges on this problem.
