What are the reasons that centrifugal switch fails
When an open circuit fault occurs in the centrifugal switch, a multimeter can be used to measure the resistance value between the lead ends of the secondary winding. If the resistance value is large, it indicates that there is an open circuit fault in the starting circuit. At this time, the YL dual-value capacitor single-phase asynchronous motor should be disassembled to detect the resistance value of the secondary winding. When the resistance of the secondary winding is normal, it means that the centrifugal switch is faulty. It can be checked one by one according to the above reasons, and repair or replacement can be carried out according to the situation.
There are several reasons for the short circuit of the centrifugal switch:
① The spring is too hard, and the secondary winding cannot be disconnected when the motor reaches the rated speed.
② The reed of the reed centrifugal switch is overheated and fails.
③ The insulation breakdown between the copper ring poles of the swing arm centrifugal switch is damaged.
④ The moving and static contacts are burnt and melted together.

When the centrifugal switch has a short circuit fault, for the capacitor split phase or the split phase 3KW single-phase oil pump motor connected with the auxiliary winding lead, the ammeter can be connected in the auxiliary winding loop. If the ammeter has a current indication, it means that the contact fails and cannot be disconnected. , The motor should be disassembled for corresponding inspection and treatment according to the above reasons.
