What are the reasons for the failure of the centrifugal switch of the single-phase asynchronous motor?

The common faults of the centrifugal switch of the single-phase asynchronous motor are mainly divided into two types: the open circuit of the centrifugal switch and the short circuit of the centrifugal switch. An open circuit of the centrifugal switch will cause the single-phase motor to fail to start; a short circuit of the centrifugal switch will cause the secondary winding of the single-phase motor to heat and burn.

There are several reasons for the open circuit of the centrifugal switch:

① The spring fails and there is not enough elastic force to close the contact.

②The contact is broken and falling off.

③The contact reed fails due to overheating.

④The moving contacts are dirty, there are debris, grease or rust, and the contact is poor.

⑤The wiring screw is loose or the wire end is off.

⑥The contact insulation board is broken and the contact cannot be closed.

⑦The moving machinery is stuck, and the contacts cannot move.
