FAQ
Conversion relationship and common value of power kilowatt and horsepower of three-phase asynchronous motor.
The rated power PN of a three-phase asynchronous motor refers to the output mechanical power of the shaft that can work normally under the input rated voltage and rated frequency of the three-phase symmetrical alternating current and in compliance with the specified environmental conditions. Also often referred to as capacity. Generally use kilowatts (KW) as the unit, and sometimes use watts (W) as the unit if it is less than 1KW. Some exported or imported motors use horsepower as a unit. There are two types of horsepower in metric and imperial systems. The conversion relationship between the two types of horsepower and kilowatts is slightly different. Metric horsepower can be expressed in hp, which is more commonly used.
1 metric horsepower = 0.7355 kilowatts, or 1 kilowatt = 1.36 metric horsepower.
1 inch horsepower = 0.7470 kilowatts, or 1 kilowatt = 1.34 inch horsepower.
It can be roughly recorded as: 1 horsepower (hp) = 0.75 kilowatts (KW), or 1 kilowatt (KW) = 1.35 horsepower (hp).
