What are the causes of different degrees of burnout of motor windings
1. Burn out a coil
There are two reasons for burning a coil.
① Short circuit between turns. Winding short-circuit fault is a kind of "terminal disease" for the oil pump motor. Even if one turn is short-circuited, the large current will spread to the surrounding turns and cause the coil where the turn is located to be burned.
② Short circuit between phases. When the jumper wire insulation of the pole phase group is poor or damaged, and it collides with the winding ends or jumper wires of other phases, the high temperature generated by the arc will melt multiple wires at the winding ends and form a short circuit between phases. At this time, several small copper beads appear at the end of the base. In addition, when the stator and rotor friction (ie sweep bore) failure occurs in a motor with a higher power, the end of the base will show small copper beads, but the end of the winding is intact.
2. The winding is burnt out due to the end hitting the end cover
When the coil is wound too large after the winding is rewinded, the end of the winding will easily collide with the end cover, and the winding will be burned out.
Based on the analysis of the phenomenon and causes of the burnt out of the motor windings, symptomatic maintenance can be done with half the effort. Therefore, if you want to eliminate the malfunction of the motor, you must first find out the cause, and then you can "eliminate the disease."
