FAQ

How to check and analyze when a single-phase motor fails?

Once a single-phase motor fails, it cannot be started after the power is turned on. Or it can be started, but the speed is low, the output is small, severe heat generation or large noise is produced. When a failure occurs, you can check and analyze it according to the following steps.

①Check the appearance

Check whether the motor end cover is broken, whether the rotating shaft is bent or damaged, whether the wiring is loose, whether the screws in each part are missing, whether the contacts are burned or broken, and whether the parts are complete, etc.

②Check the bearing and lubrication (grease)

Shake the shaft up and down by hand to check whether the bearing is loose; push the shaft axially to check whether the bearing moves; rotate the rotor by hand to check whether the rotor rotates flexibly, to determine whether there is a problem with the bearing or the shaft is bent or the transfer is poor. At the same time, check the amount of lubricating oil, whether it has deteriorated or dried up, and check whether the bearing is worn and the degree of wear.
