FAQ
What are the common faults of single-phase asynchronous motors?
Common faults of single-phase asynchronous motors are mainly manifested in electrical and mechanical aspects. Common failures and their causes are as follows:
1. Single-phase motor cannot start
There are several electrical reasons:
①The power supply voltage does not meet the requirements.
② The contact of the centrifugal switch is damaged and it is in the disconnected state.
③The capacity of the split-phase capacitor is too small, invalid or damaged.
④ The main winding is open, short-circuited or grounded.
⑤ The secondary winding is open, shorted or grounded.
⑥ The rotor is severely broken or the end ring is broken.
⑦The motor is overloaded, and the protection device operates to cut off the power supply.
There are several mechanical reasons:
①The bearing is stuck, corroded or damaged.
② The rotating shaft is bent, causing the stator and rotor to rub together.
③The end cover is not installed properly.
④The rotor core and the rotating shaft are too loose to cause slippage.
⑤The load is too heavy or the mechanical part is jammed.
⑥ The centrifugal switch is damaged.
