What are the operating modes of a single-capacitor starter motor?
During the start of the single-capacitor starter motor, because the centrifugal switch is closed, the start winding is connected in parallel with the power supply. When the motor speed reaches 75% to 80% of the rated speed, the centrifugal switch is automatically disconnected under the action of centrifugal force, so that the start winding and capacitor are connected to the power supply. Disengaged, only the working winding participates in the operation of the motor.
The single-capacitor starter motor has the following operating modes:
